The planning for this project has included extensive public participation. The MTA has worked with local communities to develop alternatives that provide the greatest benefits, while minimizing adverse impacts. This process will continue throughout the next phase of the project. Community outreach efforts include public meetings such as Neighborhood Work Groups and Open Houses, Community and Business Associations, business outreach, attendance at local fairs and community events, and the development and distribution of newsletters and fact sheets. Additionally, members of our Project Team are available to meet with your community, neighborhood, business or special interest group. To arrange a meeting contact Michael D. Madden, Purple Line Project Manager, at (443) 451-3718 or outreach@purplelinemd.com.During the current phase of the project, the Purple Line Team is holding Neighborhood Work Groups. These work groups will be both location and topic specific. For example, some of the meetings will be about certain stations or about topics like bike and pedestrian facilities. Please click here for information about these work groups and to learn how you can be involved. |
