In an effort to gain a more local perspective on the project, the MTA organized community focus groups which are small, geographically organized meetings. The purpose of the groups is for the MTA to learn more about your community and its issues and concerns, and for you to learn more about the Purple Line project. The MTA has gained valuable information from these meetings. This information allows us to better design the project, and develop plans to address community concerns.
The Purple Line corridor was divided geographically into several Community Focus Groups. Click here to see a map of the Community Focus Groups. The groups are composed of representatives of local community associations and civic groups, as well as the principals and PTAs of the local schools. View a list of the Community Focus Groups.
For now, work with the Community Focus Groups has ended and shifted to the Neighborhood Work Groups, which focus on individual station areas of the Purple Line. If you would like to participate in these meetings, please fill out the form available on the Neighborhood Work Groups page or contact the Project Team at outreach@purplelinemd.com.
