Typical Light Rail Transit (LRT) stations have a platform, shelters, benches and fare vending machines. The platforms for the stations will likely be around 200 feet long. The stations will be more substantial than a bus stop, but not the size of a Metrorail station. There are no new park and ride lots planned for the Purple Line stations, although there is existing parking at the current Metrorail Stations where the Purple Line connects. Stations for the Purple Line LPA would be at the following locations:
The Purple Line Project Team is currently holding meetings to discuss issues related to each station from a local neighborhood perspective. If you would like to participate in these meetings, please fill out the form available on the Neighborhood Work Groups page or contact the Project Team at outreach@purplelinemd.com. |
