Throughout the Purple Line Study, the Project Team has conducted numerous studies and produced various reports. All of these studies and reports are vital to understanding all the potential benefits and impacts of the proposed Purple Line. These project documents are used to help aid in the decision-making process for how to proceed with the project. The longest and most comprehensive study is mandated by the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 (NEPA) and the Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act. These acts require any project using federal money to consider the environmental impacts of the project. The consideration of the impacts results in the publishing of the Alternatives Analysis/Draft Environmental Impact Statement (AA/DEIS). Click here to learn more about what an AA/DEIS is!
