Award-winning Mandalay Restaurant & Café is back, offering a mix of cuisine from many regions of Burma (Myanmar). Owned and operated by brothers Joe Myint and Saw Myint Jr., this multigenerational business has been a Bonifant Street fixture for more than 20 years. The owners say they use fresh ingredients and time-tested recipes. The Myints invite you to stop in for carryout orders Monday-Thursday 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday-Saturday 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and Sunday noon to 9:30 p.m. Mandalay Café closes daily 3:00 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Junction Jamaican Restaurant

Junction Jamaican Restaurant promises a savory meal that is definitely worth trying Monday-Thursday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Friday-Saturday 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

A local family-owned bakery and cafe, La Flor de Puebla specializes in traditional Mexican bread, a variety of pastries, custom-made cakes, and flavorful plates like tortas. Their attention to detail, friendly service, and the traditional atmosphere, they say, have helped make this bakery a staple in Riverdale. You can visit them at any one of their three locations in Maryland: Riverdale, Hyattsville, and Beltsville. The Riverdale location opens Monday-Saturday 5 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Nancy’s Nails

Nancy’s Nails is a family-owned and operated nail salon whose owners say they offer affordable prices and exceptional service. Assisting both women and men, Nancy’s Nails offers many types of manicure and pedicure services in addition to waxing and lash installation. A Bonifant Street institution of more than 20 years, Nancy’s Nails has grown a large customer base and is known for its family atmosphere.
